President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday (today) morning inked numerous deals together with his Burundi counterpart Evariste Ndayishimiye.

In a joint press address outside Kisumu statehouse, the two presidents revealed the several deals they had agreed on. The pair stated that the Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) would benefit the two nations. 

President Ndayishimiye assured Kenya that Burundi was secure for the Kenyan investors on foreign affairs and security matters. 

"Burundi has stabilized and enhanced its security, it's now safe to do business in the Country and we welcome foreign investors especially from Kenya to invest," affirmed Ndayishimiye. 

For the Public Service matters, the two nations agreed to work together in capacity building and training. At the same time, the two presidents agreed to work on agriculture, livestock, and fisheries. 

Ndayishimiye is in the country for a two-day visit, where he is set to join President Kenyatta in inspecting various projects in western Kenya (Nyanza region).

Speaking over the MoUs signed, President Ndayishimiye expressed optimism that they will be implemented soon. He reiterated that Burundi was ready and willing to play host to Kenyan investors.
