The suspects were ordered to be imprisoned for 15 more days by Magistrate Robert Shikwe to allow the prosecution to conclude its investigation.

This came after the prosecution asked for extra time to complete their investigation, and the magistrate agreed that the request was justified.

On Wednesday, the prosecution requested an extension of 20 days to complete the investigation.

The detention of the suspects was in connection with an incident on Wangari Maathai Road on Friday, in which a female motorist was harassed and sexually abused by Boda Boda riders following an accident.

According to Police spokesperson Bruno Shioso, 32 people have been arrested, and 12 motorcycles have been impounded as a result of the shocking incident that has now gone viral.

“When we began this operation, I indicated that there were 16 arrested, but by now, the numbers have climbed to 32, with now approximately 12 motorcycles impounded, and it is solely due to that outcry,” Shioso.
