The form one student narrated to officers at Kikuyu Police Station how she killed her siblings who were 15 months, 5 years, and 7 years old.

She said that on July 14, 2021, she strangled her one-year-and-three-month-old brother Liam Gichuhi to death by placing a pillow over his face for three to four minutes, until she was certain he was not breathing, and then she covered him with a blanket.

She said on August 7, 2021, while at their home in Gikambura, she strangled her 5-year-old sister, Valeria Muthoni, age five, with a pillow placed on her face until she was sure that her heart was not beating by feeling the pulse rate at her wrist.

She also claimed that on September 25, 2021, while they were still living in their Gikambura home, she killed her sister Rachael Wanjiru at the age of seven and a half months by strangling her on the neck with her hands for about 10 minutes, drowning her in a bathroom sink full of water, and then pouring hot water on her face.

She admitted to drowning her 20-month-old cousin in a well in their compound last month on August 4, 2022, in Gathiga Village, Kabete Sub County during the school holiday break when she had gone to visit her grandmother.

While there, on August 16, her cousin, who was 1 year 8 months old, unexpectedly vanished while in her care inside her grandmother's home.

The accused girl denied knowing where his cousin was leading the family and residents to look inside and outside the compound for him but were unsuccessful. They later found the boy's body in the water well.

On August 18, the accused girl returned to her parents' Waithaka house and reported to school the next day.

She got a phone from a teacher on August 20, 2022, at night, and made a call to her parents. She told her parents over the phone that she was the one who had committed the murders.

The following day, when her parents visited the school, she confessed in front of her teachers to all four murders. The teachers suggested that the parents accompany her home.

On Saturday, the girl's father filed a report against the 15-year-old girl at the Kikuyu police station and the girl confessed to the murders in front of the Kikuyu Sub-County Children's Officer.

The girl's parents told police that their children passed away under unexplained circumstances, leading them to suspect that a natural cause of death might have been involved. Her parents said that the deaths occurred when the 15-year-old was caring for them.

Police requested further time to investigate the incident as the suspect is expected to appear in court.

Perminus Kioi, the head of Kiambu police, said the investigation is being handled by specialists and the girl will undergo some examinations before entering the plea.
