17 Year Old Murdered After Winning a Lottery
A form two student found dead after winning a lottery.

Syengo Nyamai, a 17 year old boy from Kitui was fould dead in a thicket a few kilometers away from his rural home in Maliku area, Katulani district. The boy has been missing for a few days after winning a lottery amounting to Ksh. 200,000 from Betika.
Nyamai is said to be schooling in Mavindini Day Mixed Secondary School. He gumbled in the 2023 Carabao Cup final match pitting Manchester United and Newcastle United, a match from February 26 at the Wembley Stadium in London, UK.
When asked how the junior got an Identification to register on the Betika, which only allows above 18 to register, his older brother, Munyithyia Nyamai, said that Syengo used a neighbours ID.
Nyamai said that his brother had asked the mother to transfer him to a boarding school and thathe would help paying the fees. He also said that Syengo had told two of his friends after winning the lottery and that he was planning to travel to Likoni to visit another friend.
Police say that the investigations are still underway.
