The accused are said to have flouted the standing orders contrary to section 77 of the KDF Act, prejudiced orders and service discipline, and committed a civil offense when they obtained a false pretense that is contrary to Section 313 of the penal code.

Gunner Anthony Kimeiya who is believed to be the one that involved the civilians seeking to join the forces denied the eight charges before Gatundu Principal Magistrate Ng’ang’a Hosea.

Kimeiya who had assistance from other servicemen made up to Ks.310,300 in February from different recruiters.

The magistrate later nullified the counsel’s argument of trying to shift the trial of the charges from civil court to the court-martial for discriminatory reasons before pushing the case to 21st June for its next hearing.
