Legislator Ng'eno Threatens to Sue NCIC

Ng'eno is among the politicians who the NCIC recently listed on their watchlist over incitement allegations. The legislator pledged a court action if NCIC won't delete his name from the list, terming the act by NCIC as character assassination.

Emurua Dikir MP Johanna Ng'eno has called upon the National Cohesion and Integration Commission [NCIC] to erase his name from the hate speech list or meet in court. 

Speaking on Thursday, the legislator the list by the NCIC, insisting that he has never been summoned by the commission before over any incitement allegations.

"This is an assassination of my character and I am assembling my lawyers to face it off with the commission," stated Ng'eno adding that his name must be erased as soon as possible.

Ng'eno added that he has never been charged before over anything related to incitement and that he has only been giving bold speeches on truthful matters.

The MP wondered why President Kenyatta's list did not appear anywhere, despite him giving utterances touching on tribes, at the burial of Musalia Mudavadi's mother recently.

NCIC recently listed some politicians on its watchlist over incitement allegations. Some of those political figures include the ex-Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, Dagoretti North MP Arati, and West Mugirangio MP Osoro. 

Ng'eno described NCIC's move as pure intimidation owing to his spirited fight for the less privileged in the society.
