OKA Says No to Ruto & Raila as it Welcomes Karua

The One Kenya Alliance OKA on Friday 4th February made their alliance official by signing a coalition argument. The movement has downplayed rumors of joining both Kenya Kwanza and Azimio and has instead opened its doors for the two to join them.

The One Kenya Alliance led by Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka formalized their union. Kenya’s third-party movement has started the journey to formally solemnize its alliance. Kanu’s Gideon Moi, Narc Kenya’s Martha Karua, and UDP’s Cyrus Njirongo were at the Steven Kalonzo Musyoka Command Center.

The coalition will present its papers to the Registrar of Political parties on the 28th of February.
One Kenya Alliance is ready to partner with other leaders as Kalonzo maintained. The decision to work with a particular party would be however discussed among the 4 key principles.

“We are open to like-minded political formations but the mood of engagement in that type of dialogue shall be open, inclusive, transparent, and fully consultative.”
On working with Azimio la Umoja, Kalonzo maintained that the doors to join OKA are wide open and not vice versa. This implies that this time around, he would be looking forward to seeing Raila join OKA.

On the other hand, the movement also distanced itself from any alliances with Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza Alliance. Two key allies of Ruto decamped from OKA i.e ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula. Wiper Secretary General Shakilla Abdalla also maintains that Kalonzo will be on the ballot box come August 9th.

"The other leaders are looking for us but we must go to the ballot we have refused to be carried in wheelbarrows or embrace Azimio La Umoja Movement Kalonzo will be on the ballot on August 9’’ Shakilla stated.
