Triumph For Ruto As Mutua Joins Kenya Kwanza

Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader, Alfred Mutua has officially joined the Kenya Kwanza Alliance today.

While addressing the press conference on May 9, Mutua stated that he had already signed the agreement with the coalition, citing that Kenya Kwanza Alliance had shown transparency and vision.

He pointed out that the Azimio la Umoja only supported certain political parties, leaving others, such as MCC, in the dark.

"To this end, we have decided to break our ties with Azimio la Umoja. Therefore the contract between Azimio and MCC is null and void," Mutua stated.

Mutua further revealed that five other parties were also in the process of quitting the coalition.

"We cannot continue to be in a country of a few millionaires. Kenyans want jobs, more money, and the right leadership. I am aware that five other parties are about to leave due to its exclusiveness and zoning terms," Alfred revealed.

Mutua has stated that he will campaign for Deputy President, William Ruto since he sees him as the right leader for the country.

"I will campaign for William Ruto. He is a good man and I believe he will make a change as he becomes the next leader of this country," Mutua stated.

Governor Mutua stated that inclusivity was a key component of the agreement reached between the Kenya Kwanza and his party.

Earlier on, Governor Alfred Mutua's Maendeleo Chap Chap party threatened to sue the Registrar of Political Parties to obtain a copy of the Azimio coalition agreement.

Governor Mutua stated on Friday that efforts to obtain a copy of the Azimio coalition agreement signed by constituent parties had failed.

Mutua questioned the motivation for denying his party a copy, implying that a shady game was being played.

Ford Kenya Kwanza party leader Moses Wetangula welcomed the governor and PAA's Amason Kingi for joining Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

"Congratulations Maendeleo Chap Chap and PAA political parties for joining the Kenya Kwanza Alliance Coalition. Your entry brings in additional energy and guarantees, even more, KKA’s assured victory in the August 9th General elections," Wetangula stated.
