Those that support Milan will understand the significance of all three of the aforementioned stars without a doubt.

The backbone of Stefano Pioli's Scudetto-winning team was made up of Mike Maignan, Fikayo Tomori, Sandro Tonali, and goalkeeper Kalulu.

The current Serie A Player of the Year, Leao, serves as Milan's primary creative force from his position on the left side.

Those of a Rossoneri bent, on the other hand, will no doubt be ecstatic to hear that efforts are being made to bind all three to new terms.

Club legend Paolo Maldini, who now serves as a director at the San Siro, confirmed in an interview with Sky on Thursday evening:

"We are currently in negotiations to extend the contracts of Ismael Bennacer, Pierre Kalulu, and Rafa Leo." We want them to stay, but it's up to the players as well."

Maldini also revealed that the Diavolo turned down a verbal offer from Premier League giants Chelsea for Leao over the summer.
