Another one: Kenya powerhouse K’OGALO handed ban as FIFA fines FKF Kshs 6M for brushing aside directives given.
Gor Mahia players train during pre-season at Camp Toyoyo Grounds. The 19-time Champions have been handed a transfer ban and will not be able to strengthen their ranks for two consecutive transfer windows.

Shafik Batambuze from Uganda, Dickson Ambundo from Tanzania and Coach Steven Polack were not shying away from this and took the matter to FIFA and this resulted in the banning of K’ogalo from bringing in new players until they settled the trios’ arrears.

Gor still went ahead and brought in the players despite not having cleared the players with FIFA. The new signings featured in the Super Cup tie against Tusker and it is for this reason that they have been reprimanded.

FKF face FIFA wrath

The Football Kenya Federation has not been spared either. FIFA has taken action against The Federation after they cleared the new K'ogalo arrivals without seeking the World Football governing body’s approval.

FKF has been ordered to pay a fine of kshs 6M for failing to adhere to FIFA. The fine is to be paid within 30 days of notification of the present decision.

Gor Mahia have started the season well and are currently unbeaten in the six matches they have taken part in. Mark Harrison’s boys have managed to scoop 4 wins and 2 draws, placing them in pole position with 14 points, a point clear of second place Kariobangi Sharks. The Green outfit has scored seven and conceded just two.
