The elven-time Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions top the league with 50 points behind KCB who have 46 points with a match to play, thanks to the 86th minute goal by the 26-year-old former Sofapaka defender.

The breweries who have already qualified for the CAF champions league began the match all attack minded and it only took two minutes before Miseh saw his free-kick punched into Muchiri's path but fantastically saved by Gor's keeper and the rebound side netted by Henry.

Gor Mahia who are just fresh from winning the Betika Cup immediately responded to the threat and managed to score the first goal in the 14th minute through Tito Okello.

Tusker later squandered a clear chance in the 19th minute after Muchiri saw his attempt go wide so was Gor Mahia when Okello found himself in the exact way as the opener goal but saw his shot go over the bar.

Both sides kept attacking but Gor Mahia managed to head to halftime with the 1-0 lead.

The second half was all about Tusker and managed to get the response in the 56 minutes through Muchiri's free kick after being hacked down from 25 yards out with a belter free-kick.

Playing with confidence, Tusker almost scored the second goal in the 64th minute but Kepha saw his long range attempt saved.

Matano made his final technical changes with four minutes to play but hell broke loose on the 90th minute when Asike scored the winning goal to permanently send Tusker to the top of the table.

Elsewhere, Nzoia Sugar beat Bidco to move to 14th place and  escape relegations.
