Atletico Madrid Captain Koke Lashes Out at Manchester United Over Time Wasting
Atletico Madrid captain Koke Merodio has lashed out at Manchester United for wasting time during their clash yesterday.

In a press conference issued earlier today, the captain accused Manchester City players of falling to the ground so easily and termed it as a trick to waste time and to deny them a chance to capitalize on the clear-cut chances to progress to the semis.
“The match takes you to that madness when you see that you have chances and they drop to the ground and waste time. We were criticized for this and now it is them doing so. I thank my team for the fight for the spirit and I will not reproach my teammates.” said Koke.
Drama and ill-tempered behavior was witnessed in the match when Manchester City winger Phil Foden was fouled and kicked while on the ground in an altercation that led to Felipe Almeida being sent off.
The game ended in a draw of 0-0 and automatically made Manchester City qualify for the semi-finals and will square with Real Madrid.
