A 38-year-old lady was killed and her body was dumped in a maize plantation on the outskirts of Tembwo Trading Center in Sotik, Bomet County.

The woman is said to have been killed after she was gang-raped on Thursday evening.

Francis Ng'ang'a, the head of the Sotik Sub-County Police, believes that the woman's lack of physical bruises suggests that she may have been raped prior to being strangled by her captors.

The deceased was recognized by locals as a mother of four who was a casual worker at Tembwo Trading Center.

Saphina Cheruiyot, the location chief for Tembwo, reported that the groceries she was carrying, which included some cash, tomatoes, and a piece of beef, were all intact and wrapped in plastic at the scene.

According to reports, she was last seen with an unidentified man.

After visiting the location, DCI officers from the Chepilat police station transported the deceased to the mortuary of the Kapkatet hospital.

Meanwhile in Narok county, an NYS officer and his brother turned themselves into a police station after they allegedly killed a man believed to be in a relationship with the officer’s wife.

According to Ololmasani’s location acting chief Richard Bett, the man was killed after he knocked on the officer’s door thinking he was away as usual.

The officer led the man inside and assaulted him before informing his brother, who then arrived and collaborated to kill him.

The deceased was stabbed to death after he refused to identify himself or explain why he chose to go at the house at nigh.

The NYS man's wife went missing during the commotion and she is currently being sought by authorities for additional information.

The deceased's body has been transported to the mortuary at Kapkatet Hospital.
