The equipment comprises a standby generator and a pasteuriser, which will greatly assist the farmers to add value to their produce.

Kericho County Governor H.E.Prof. Paul Kiprono Chepkwony, EGH, flagged off the consignment and called for more partnerships both from the public and private sectors aimed at strengthening the cooperative movement in the county.

"Today we have assisted the farmers of Kabianga Dairy Society in ensuring that they get better equipment to enable them to carry on with their activities including value additions of their products. This will allow them to have enough supply to improve their livelihoods," said Chepkwony.

The Governor was accompanied by the Chief Officer in charge of Trade, Industrialisation, Cooperative Management, Tourism and Wildlife, Mr. Victor Lang'at, and other county government officials.

Kabianga Dairy Cooperative society has been among the leading milk processing society in the region and a boost by the county will allow them to expand and reach more customers in Kericho County and beyond county’s boarders
