BREAKING :Blow to Raila Odinga as Supreme Court Withdraws His Case
The more awaited day of the supreme court ruling has finally arrived. This comes at a time the case Azimio La Umoja Leader Raila Odinga had filed in court rejecting William Ruto`s declaration as the fifth president of Kenya that was done on 15th August by the independent electoral and boundaries commission [ IEBC} Chair Wafula Chebukati has been withdrawn.

CJ Martha Koome explained why the petition was nullified, she stated that the technology deployed by the IEBC met the standards to guarantee accurate and verifiable results.
"We are not persuaded that the technology failed the standards of Article 86A on integrity".CJ Koome
"Whereas it is true that the KIEMS kits failed in 235 polling stations 86,889 voters were granted the right to vote manually and the requisite Form 32A was duly filed. This happened successfully in Kibwezi constituency and part of Kakamega County," read part of the ruling.

Raila Odinga, the primary petitioner, claimed that the IEBC's system had been compromised, allowing the original forms 34A to be removed and replaced with altered forms that were uploaded to the portal. The IEBC has refuted these assertions.
"The Smartmatic was procured to provide the necessary technological infrastructure as IEBC did have the capacity to do so. No credible evidence meeting the requisite standards of proof of access to the system by unauthorized persons was adduced by the petitioners. The scrutiny report prepared by the Registrar of this court did not reveal any security breaches of the IEBC's RTS."
Advocate Mahat Somane charged Raila with falsifying the documents he offered as evidence during his court testimony.
"In Ndaina polling station, they claimed that their agent provided them with a form which was different from what is in the portal. If you look at the form attached to the portal and even the one the petitioner submitted, there was no agent at the polling station," he stated
