BREAKING: Mount Longonot Blazing
Since Tuesday night, September 28, a piece of Mt Longonot has been on fire.

According to Hells Gate National Park Senior Warden Francis Muchiri, efforts to put out the fire have been challenging due to strong winds in the area.
On the other hand, firefighters and Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), officials arrived in the area to battle the massive blaze that has devoured a piece of Mt Longonot.

Local villagers have also joined the team of professionals working to put out the fire that is devouring the mountain's vegetation.
“We are getting assistance from the locals to extinguish the fire but the blaze is severe and more assistance is needed,” Muchiri told a local publication.
