Eldas Member of County Assembly (MCA), Abass died at the Wajir International Airport while awaiting an emergency plane to airlift him to Nairobi for treatment.

The death of the Member of the parliament has been confirmed by Wajir County Governor, Ahmed Muktar.
The Governor in his statement on the 4th evening mourned the deceased as a leader who was passionate about work and who advocates for excellent services for the people of Wajir.
The details on the nature of sickness remain unknown.
