President Uhuru Kenyatta is on an impromptu inspection tour of the Nairobi National Cargo Deconsolidation Centre (NCDC - Nairobi) after it was expanded to meet rising demand.

The president is on the site to follow up the inspection tour of the expanded Government facility and meeting with small scale traders who use the warehouse to store their imported goods.

It is believed that the facility has been enhanced and now can clear (15)40 containers from a previous capacity of (5) 40.
The warehouse was launched in November 2020.

Kenyans now believe that the facility will change the future of the cargo and freight business in the country.
Also, Cargo clearance time will be enhanced while the last mile cost will be reduced.
