BREAKING: Uganda Confirms Ebola Outbreak
An outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) has been confirmed in Mubende District, Uganda. The confirmed case is a 24-year-old male a resident of Ngabano village of Madudu Sub County in Mubende District.
The man who presented the EVD symptoms later succumbed to the virus.
According to a source privy to this publication based in Uganda, six other suspected cases are currently under investigation to establish the cause of their deaths.
The Ministry of Health now says a team has been dispatched to Mubende.

Additionaly, Ebola virus disease, formerly known as hemorrhagic fever, is currently on the rise in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which borders Uganda on the west.The disease travels from person to person by infection, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), and is contracted from an animal.
