Can Ruto's 'Wheelbarrows' Pay The Annual 6,000 NHIF Contribution? Nationals Astonish As Ruto 'Hype' The New NHIF Bill
Citizens for the better part of Wednesday, September 29, exhibited diverse reactions to the newly legislated National Hospital Insurance Fund bill,
Bright Kenya News has been on the lookout for the citizens' responses to the newly established National Hospital Insurance Fund bill after the Members of Parliament on Tuesday, September 28 legislated the contribution mandatory.
From the findings, it was so evident that what is eliciting diverse responses from the citizens is the actions leaders are taking after the establishment of the new bill.
The established bill mandates every Kenyan above 18 years to be paying an annual contribution of Ksh. 6000 to the scheme. The big questions remain, How will a common household with over 5 adults pay the monthly Ksh. 500 contribution? Is the contribution a guarantee of better health services?
The NHIF Bill that Ruto hyped here will force every household to pay 6,000 annually, without a promise of bettering health services. That means, more money to steal. How do you force households to contribute that much but only giving them wheelbarrows as a means for survival?

The reactions followed Ruto's tweet on Monday, September 27, where he was seen in the frontline of hyping the establishment of the new act.
The NHIF(amendment) Bill is 4yrs behind schedule delaying the roll out of UHC. Tomorrow is the single most important day in the life of the 12th Parliament as Kenyans await the passage of the Bill so that millions of struggling families can have access to health insurance.WAITING pic.twitter.com/649mMWmA9x

According to 'hustlers', the hustler leader did not consider their economic status quo even in relation to the added responsibility to the households.
The Ruto's crusade has been left wondering how the promised 'wheelbarrows' will help them in meeting the mandate.
