Cardamon Mandazi Recipe

Soft and sweet cardamon mandazi are perfect with hot tea during this cold rainy season.

Cardamon Mandazi Recipe

Ingredients

4 cups self-rising flour

2 tsp baking powder

½ cup sugar

¼ cup milk

2 cups water

½ tsp salt

1tsp cardamon

Enough cooking oil

Procedure

Mix the sugar, salt, cardamon, milk, and water

Mix the flour with baking powder and gradually add the flour mixture into the water

Keep kneading until you feel the dough is ready

Cover the dough and let it sit for 30 minutes

Add enough cooking oil to a frying pan and switch to medium heat

Make the dough into balls, roll each dough cut it into four

You can cut them out into a desired shape

Fry them in the pan until each side gets a light brown color

Take them out of the oil, sprinkle with some icing sugar, and serve with hot tea
