Spanish FA has confirmed Diego Llorente has tested positive for Covid 19 and is set to miss Spain's opening Euro 2020 fixture against Sweden on Monday.

This comes two days after their captain Sergio Bosquet contracted the virus forcing the coach to replace the two with eleven U21 players added to 'parallel squad'.

The board confirmed that Llorente contracted the virus on Tuesday and was immediately put in isolation and despite no other player has tested positive for the virus, training in the camp was suspended and the 24-men instructed to train individually ahead of Sweden on Monday.

This was also made public immediately after the Spain U21 four goal thriller against Litthania, a match that was supposed to be played by the senior team as their final friendly ahead of their Euro campaign.

The match featured 16 debutants 11 of which have been called up as 'parallel squad' Incase the case worsens.
