Charles Okere Appointed as New Harambee Starlets Head Coach

The Football Kenya Federation {FKF} has appointed Charles Okere as the new Harambee Starlets head coach.

Mr. Okere will be assisted by Godfrey Oduor who is KCB’s assistant coach and Mildred Cheche who until her appointment was part of the KCB technical bench.

According to the FKF, Okere`s appointment takes effect immediately, as he replaces David Ouma who has parted ways with the Federation on mutual consent.

However, before Okere`s appointment, he was serving as Tusker FC assistant coach.

On the other hand, it is now believed that Okere's first assignment will be the international friendly match against Zambia on 24th April.

Also, Tusker FC has congratulated the new coach on its Twitter handle stating that “Promotions do swing in quickly. Congratulations to our assistant coach Charles Okere who has been elevated to the head coach position of the national women football team, Harambee Starlets.
