Court Permits For Confirm Gang Ringleader To Be Detained For 15 Days

According to chief magistrate Isaac Orenge, investigators were given two weeks to prosecute Dickson Macharia Waithera with a crime or free him.

During a previous court session, held on Thursday, the police wanted to detain Macharia for 30 days so they could finish their inquiries but the magistrate ruled that 15 days was sufficient.

The magistrate stated that because of the significant public interest in the situation, police should be given enough time to conduct exhaustive investigations.

According to Peter Mwanzo, the commander of the Nakuru County Police, the suspect had been on the police’s radar after he repeatedly eluded capture.

A phone and a laptop were among the goods removed from his home and will be used for forensic examination.

The case will be mentioned on August 19.
