Kenya is yet to start administering Covid-19 vaccines, an exercise that has since been adopted by various nations worldwide in efforts to curb the pandemic from spreading further.

Kenya on Thursday registered 283 new Covid-19 cases drawn from 4,822 samples tested in the last 24 hours. Today's number brings to a total of 103,615 confirmed cases, out of 1,254,018 samples tested so far.

Nairobi County still tops the list having posted 196 cases today. Others were drawn from places like Busia 16, Kajiado and Machakos 5 each, Kisumu and Kilifi 4 each, Siaya and Migori 1 each, Homabay, Murang'a, and Taita Taveta 2 each among other counties.

66 more patients were declared healed, pushing the number of recoveries to 85,457. Sadly, fatalities rose to 1,807 after six others succumbed in the last 24 hours. 

Nationwide, 277 patients are being treated in various hospitals, while another 1,153 patients are being nursed at home. For those in hospital, 42 are seriously ill, with 21 being on ventilatory support, and 18 others under oxygen supplementation.

Three others have been put on keen observation.
