Covid-19 Kills 6 More, 49 Others in ICU

To date, Kenya has recorded 103,841 Covid-19 cases, out of a sample of 1,258, 624 that have undergone testing since March 2020 when the first case was reported in the country.

Health Ministry on Friday announced that six more patients had succumbed to the Covid-19 pandemic, pushing the death toll to 1,813.

At the same time, 226 more persons had tested positive, bringing the total number of infections to 103,841 as reported by the Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe.

Out of the 333 hospital admissions, 49 were critically ill and placed under the Intensive Care Unit [ICU]. On a positive note, 75 others have been dismissed from hospitals pushing the recoveries to 85,512.

Out of today's cases, 165 are Kenyans, while the other 61 are from foreign nations. Gender-wise, 132 are males, with the rest 94 being females. 

The youngest of the victims is two years, while the oldest is 98. Nairobi County still continues registering the highest number of infections, having posted 142 cases since the last update yesterday.
