CS Magoha: Over 38,000 KCPE Students to Join National Schools

38,797 pupils who sat their 2021 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations have been placed in National Schools.

According to the Education CS George Magoha, he says a further 214,960 will join Extra-County schools, 2,045 will join special needs schools while 218, 456 will be admitted to County Schools.

Magoha spoke during the launch of Form I selection for 2021 KCPE candidates at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD).

Top student Magata Bruce Makenzie from Gilgil Hill Academy in Nakuru County who scored 428 mark will join Alliance High School.

He has now urged parents to send the index number of their 2021 KCSE candidates to 22263 to know which school their child will join.

The SMS platform will be charged at Ksh 25 and is available on all networks.

CS Magoha has further advised that Bursary Fund from the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) be spent on learners in Boarding schools saying the Government pays the entire cost of fees in day secondary schools.
