According to Committee chairman Peter Mwathi, Interior Principal Secretary, Karanja Kibicho will also accompany Matiang’i to the meeting.

The trio are set to appear before the committee on Wednesday, September 1st.

Chairman Mwathi stated that Members of Parliament will seek to establish the procedures and laws the top security organs used to disparage Ruto’s security details from the General Service Unit (GSU) to Administration Police (AP).

“We want them to shed light on whether the action they took is within the law, and if not, we will have no option but to ensure that the law is followed,” noted Mwathi.

Following DP Ruto`s security reshuffling at his home, he was forced to write to the IG claiming that his life is in danger.

The Deputy President, on the other hand, altered his mind and came to terms with his new security staff, which had been demoted.

Ruto said on Sunday, August 29, at Holy Mass at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Nakuru County, that he had no objection to being guarded by AP personnel and that if the government so desired, he would be willing to be safeguarded by private security services as well.
