DP Rigathi Meets Raila Odinga in Mombasa

Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua met the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Friday 16th September in Mombasa but failed to disclose what they discussed in their meeting.

"We have tremendous respect for our senior citizens. I was delighted this morning to have a tete-a-tete with our senior citizen, former Prime Minister Rt Hon Raila Amolo Odinga in Mombasa," Gachagua stated. 

Details from a source to a popular online media house stated that indeed the two leaders met but they only discussed issues concerned to them.

"I can confirm that the two leaders met in Mombasa where DP Gachagua addressed the governor's induction while Raila celebrated Governor Abdulswamad Nassir's swearing-in ceremony. 

"However, we are not aware of what we discussed," the source close to Raila stated.

This meeting comes barely hours after the formerAzimio la Umoja one Kenya alliance party leader presidential candidate jetted back into the country from Zanzibar.

 Raila stated that he had gone to Zanzibar with his family to heal from the election loss.

"I came this morning from Zanzibar and arrived late than expected. I was not able to be with you at the swearing-in (of Abdulswamad), but here I am.

Speaking in Mombasa on Thursdays during Abulswamad`s swearing-in,  Raila threatened that he will organize one Million protesters to storm the judiciary to demand justice.

"We will also not allow the Judiciary to become a dictator in this country. We can lead a one million march to the judiciary and tell them to go home. We have a right as a people to not agree with bad rulings. Shame on the judiciary of this country. We will talk," Raila slammed the Supreme Court. 

Raila lost the August 9th polls to his competitor William Ruto who was declared the fifth president of Kenya on August 15th.
He was later sworn in on September 13th after a petition that was filed in court by Raila Odinga was thrown out by the supreme court on Monday 5th September.
Notably, on Thursday 15th Rarieda member of Parliament Otiende Amollo claimed a series of blunders by dishonest individuals around Raila Odinga led to his defeat in the polls.

He also added that they not only messed up nominations but had a rosy outlook when things were far different.
