DP Ruto offers to help Man who Chained Self at his Office Gate

Kenya`s Deputy President William Ruto was forced to offer help to a man identified as Lawrence Oprong who had chained himself at the gate of Harambee house annex office demanding a job on Tuesday 11th January.

In a statement issued by DP Ruto`s spokesperson, Emmanuel Talam, he stated that the situation had been resolved.

"DP has sorted the issued and asked his office to handle the young man's case," Talam said.

 Oprong had been arrested and escorted to the Central Police Station by police personnel.

Lawrence had shackled himself to the gate grills and said he'd only let go if Ruto addressed his worries.
Oprong, who claims to be the son of former Busia North MP Fredrick Oduya Oprong, alleges that he was promised a job four years ago.

He did, however, point out that the promise had not been kept.
