In his speech while addressing residents in Msambweni, Kwale county, Ruto told the president not to use the state house to plant seeds of disunity and divison among Kenyans.

Ruto, who was addressing the president directly, told the president to be a unifying factor and to stop engaging in propaganda.

Please Mr. President, you are the leader of all Kenyans, don’t allow State House to be used as the theatre of planting of seeds of division of the Kenyans.” Ruto stated.

Mr President you know it is not true it is false and I want to ask you out of humility to protect the office of the president,” the second in command added.

Ruto was responding to President Uhuru’s allegations that he (Ruto)  plotited an impeachment over the president

The president spoke on Saturday at state house when he met council of elders from the Gikuyu community. 

At the same event, the president took the opportunity to explain to the elders why he had reached out to his handshake partner, the former Prime minister, Raila Odinga.

Ruto, speaking at the Kenya Kwanza rally in Msambweni further told the president that he has respected his decision to support Raila for the presidential elections come August this year. Raila is ruto’s main competitor in the august 9th elections In the presidential race.
