The DP challenged the parliament to focus on serious matters affecting the country such as banditry.

Through his social media pages today he stated “Parliament should not waste time on non-issues. The AP is a professional service and those who think it's a downgrade are Wrong. They should focus on deployment to serious security situations in areas bandits are causing destruction”. Said Ruto.

However, the trio who were summoned were supposed to appear before the parliamentary committee on Wednesday, September 1st to explain the procedures that were used before instituting the changes to Ruto's security team from the elite General Service Unit (GSU) to Administration Police (AP).
