The murder comes not so long after a man of German origin was found dead together with his Kenyan woman, within a span of days.

Detectives from Mombasa are investigating an incident whereby a Dutch national was found dead inside his Shanzu home, and his woman tied inside her car.

Herman Rouwenhorst's corpse was found alongside his watchman's. The Dutch man's girlfriend Ms. Riziki Cherono was also found tied tightly inside her car near Serena Beach hotel.

Ms. Riziki told law enforcers that she had been driven there from their apartments. The officers then untrapped her and together went to the apartment where they found Mr. Rouwenhorst's corpse.

Both his hands and legs had been tied, and his mouth gagged. Herman's corpse with that of his guard were later picked and taken to the morgue awaiting postmortem.

The murder comes only a few days after a German nationality and his girlfriend were recovered in an interval of days still in Mombasa county.

Mr. Herman's murder rekindles bitter memories of the late Tob Cohen, still of Dutch origin and who was found murdered in 2019.

Billionaire Cohen had gone missing, only for his decomposing corpse to be recovered later from a septic tank at his Kitsuru home.

After Cohen's murder, detectives nabbed Ms. Sarah Wairimu his wife, whom they labelled as the prime suspect. His case is still in court to date.
