England Euro 2020 squad: Danny Ings and Patrick Bamford not in the squad despite of their prolific performances in their clubs.

In the 33-man squad, Ben White of Everton and Ben Geoffrey of Brighton received their maiden call-ups in the team, with Borussia Dortmund’s star Jude Bellingham receiving a nod and becoming the youngest player in the squad.

Gareth Southgate will reduce the squad into the required number of 26 on 1st June. This delay is due to it that a number of players are still competing in the Europa League and Champions League finals this week. It will also allow injured players to properly recover from their injuries. The players include, Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Declan Rice (West Ham), Harry Maguire (Manchester United) and Kalvin Phillips (Leeds United).

Dean Henderson, Sam Johnstone and Aaron Ramsdale have been trusted by Southgate to offer their services between the goal posts alongside Jordan Pickford. Knee surgery prevented Burnley’s goalkeeper Nick Pope to accompany them.

Tottenham’s striker and best goal scorer Harry Kane will be the captain and will lead the striking position, where Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins and Dortmund’s Jordan Sancho have been also featured.

Jack Grealish who has recovered from shin injury will play alongside fellow playmakers Phil Foden and Mason Mount as Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka making to the squad. Mason Greenwood will also play in the striking position for the first time since September last year after being sent home from the camp in Iceland for his conduct.

Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold has been given right full-back assignment which will see Kyle Walker, Reece James and Kieran Trippier his alternatives.
