EPRA Increases Fuel Prices for April.

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced a fuel price hike that will begin tomorrow, Friday, April 15.

According to the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority, the fuel prices will take effect on the friday of 15th April 2022. 

The government has provided a subsidy of Ksh. 29.08 per litre of super petrol, Ksh. 40.24 per litre of diesel and Ksh26.45 per litre of Kerosene. 

Without the review, super, diesel and diesel would have cost Ksh. 173.70, Ksh165.74 and Ksh. 139.89 respectively. 

in the Mya review, EPRA declared that the minimum pricing fir super petrol, Diesel and Kesorene were Ksh. 134.72 for super petrol, Ksh. 115.60 for Diesel and Ksh103.54 for kerosene.

Earlier on in a press statetement, the Cabinet Secretary Monica Juma had warned that oil companies and retailers not to sell fuel at prices higher than the gazetted pricing. 

"Kenya Will not tolerate any entity or person causing distress by creating an aratificial problem or stress. Any entity that is not ready, able or willing to work within the fraework of the laws of Kenya is invited to vacate this market promptly. " Juma said.
