Hosea was reportedly among close friends for Daniel Moi, and also enjoyed an inner circle from where decisions governing the late Daniel Moi's government were tailored.

Ex-Cooperative Bank Chair and the late President Daniel Moi's ally and aide Hosea Kiplagat has passed away. The late reportedly died on Friday night at his Karen home.

According to close sources, the late was lastly seen in public yesterday evening where he was having a drink with his friend at a Lavington members' club.

The late was well known among the closest allies of Mzee Daniel Moi. He also tried unsuccessfully tried his luck in politics when he contested for the Baringo Central seat under the Kanu ticket.

Since Moi exited politics in 2002, Kiplagat went silent on political issues. As a businessman, he had a trail of investment in the banking and transport sector. 

He was also among the powerful Kanu politicians who had a say in the decision-making in President Daniel Moi's administration.
