EX- Rift Valley RC George Natembeya Replaced
Former Rift Valley Regional commissioner George Natembeya has been replaced by Makueni County Commissioner Mohamed Maalim.

In addition, William Kangethe Thuku has been appointed as the new Nairobi regional commissioner.
However, on Wednesday 12th Natembeya was redeployed to the office of the President after his resignation as Rift Valley Regional Commissioner.

Geroge resigned on Wednesday, January 12, to fully concentrate on his Trans Nzoia gubernatorial bid.
"I am taking off my military uniform today. I won't wear it again not unless under very extraordinary circumstances. I am no longer the Rift Valley Regional commissioner. I will take leave as I prepare to be the Governor of Trans Nzioa".
Speaking on Wednesday in Nakuru, Mr. Natembeya gave his full appreciation to the Interior Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiang'i, and his Principal Secretary, Karanja Kibicho, for allowing him to serve in that capacity.
"I will from now on focus on politics as l seek the backing of residents of Trans Nzoia to become their governor," Natembeya announced.
"My rivals have been asking me to remove my official uniform and face them in Trans Nzoia. As from now, I hang my boots to teach them about leadership," he added.
