Facebook Introduces New Features To Enables Users Generate More Income
Facebook recently unveiled new features that will make it possible for Kenyans and content creators generally to make more money.

The move, according to Facebook founder and META Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg, is intended to let users create content they enjoy and make money from.
"Rolling out more ways for creators to make money on Facebook and Instagram and sharing updates that will help creators build for the metaverse. We're heading towards a future where more people can do creative work they enjoy, and I want platforms like ours to play a role in making that happen," Zuckerberg stated.
The three features include Interoperable subscriptions, Facebook stars and Monetization of reels.
The w interoperable subscription will grant users access to Facebook Groups that are exclusively available to paid subscribers on other platforms.
The Facebook Stars will enable users to start making money from their reels, live videos, or Videos on Demand(VOD). Facebook will pay Ksh1.18 for each star sent to the owner of the live broadcast by viewers who purchase them.
The Reels Play Bonus program will be expanded to include additional creators as part of Facebook and Instagram's monetisation of Reels tool, enabling users to cross-post their IG Reels to Facebook and monetize them.
He further added that the features will be rolled out on Instagram
