According to sources privy to this publication, the police report filed by the bank’s branch manager stated that the five went into the banking hall holding a handmade gun, hammer, knives, and a panga, and kidnapped the nine employees on duty. 

The thugs allegedly led them to the restrooms, locked them inside, and then began robbing the cash registers.

The robbery is estimated to have costed 2.3 million shillings.

A bank teller who was injured after being struck with a hammer has been treated and released from the hospital.

In the meantime, police have seized a handmade gun, hammer, cellphone, and Ksh.1,000 note from the crime scene.
