A refugee is a person who has been forced to leave their country to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster.

Walking away from our past,
Into a land of shadows and weeping souls,
Nothing to call our own,
Yet blood runs thick within us,
Making us all human by the flesh.
Label us 'Aliens',
Skin complexion, language and native origin,
It does not define who we are,
But portrays that we come from a world of diversity,
Would you take up our burdens and walk by us?
Listen to our bleeding hearts,
Suffocating at the hands of reality,
Brutal torment crumbles our mental strength,
Leaving behind the skeletons of flesh,
That savages feed off.
United we stand as 'Refugees',
One in suffering and loss,
But divided by native blood,
Take us in as lost souls,
Not as 'Refugees',
However, as people who need stable grounds.
