Former LSK President, Nelson Havi Reacts to President Uhuru's Last Minute Appointing
Former Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Nelson Havi has expressed concern about President Uhuru Kenyatta's last-minute appointment of the former Vice Chief of Defence Forces to an advisory body, claiming that it could cause embarrassment.
Former Lieutenant Levi General, Franklin Mghalu has been appointed to the Kenya National Shipping Line Board by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Mghalu will serve as chairman of the board for three years, beginning in August 2022. The appointment was announced by President Uhuru in a gazette notice dated August 5, 2022.

The move is part of the state's plans to resurrect shipping lines and own a fleet of vessels, which were initiated by the Jubilee administration in 2018.
Taking to his Twitter account, Havi warned citizens against accepting Uhuru's last-minute appointment stating that embarrassments will follow suit.
"Do not accept those appointments being made by Uhuru Kenyatta after 9-8-2022," Havi stated.
Do not accept those appointments being made by Uhuru Kenyatta after 9-8-2022. You risk embarrassing yourself unnecessarily.

Havi also revealed that he fought President Uhuru in Court and Parliament over the appointment of the Selection Panel and the four renegade IEBC Commissioners, but to no avail.
Kenyans have also expressed contradicting opinions on Uhuru's appointment. Here are some screen grabs.
