France put up a spirited fight to complete a 3-2 comeback and book a spot in Sunday’s final in a 5-goal thriller.

Belgium started the game slowly but quickly picked up their tempo by creating several clear-cut chances. France held up until the 37th minute when Yannick Carrasco slotted in a beautiful shot into the far post to give Belgium the long-coming lead. Romelu Lukaku piled up on France woes three minutes later to double Belgium’s lead after making a brilliant run behind to take on Kelvin De Bryune’s pass and stroke it above Huge Lloris in another tight angle.

However, France came back into the last half with a completely different script that proved to be too much for Belgium to handle. Constant pressure and very high pressing from the Blues were rewarded by a brilliant shot in between defenders from Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema beating his club teammate Thibaut Courtois to pull one back. Kylian  Mbappe leveled the scoreboard seven minutes later from the spot after Antoine Griezmann was fouled in the box.

Although Red Devils posed threats in some moments of the game with Lukaku’s goal ruled offside in the 89th minute, France was determined to remain in Italy at least until Sunday. Theo Hernandez took a brilliant long-range shot that baffled Belgium’s shot-stopper sealing France’s comeback and blowing away their opponent's title hopes. France now will play La Roja on Sunday.
