Govt Rubbishes Reports of Thursday being a public Holiday
The Government of Kenya through Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang`i on Wednesday 3rd denounced the allegations that it had issued a public notice that Thursday 4th November was to be a public holiday.

In what seems like a notice through the official government gazette, which was allegedly issued by CS Matiang'i, the following wordings are written, "It is notified for the general information of the public that in the exercise of the powers conferred by Section 2 (2), as read with section 3 of the Public Holidays Act, Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Co-ordination of National Government declares that 4 November 2021 shall be a public holiday to mark Diwali 2021."
According to CS Matiang`i he stated on November 3rd that the gazette notice was fake and the government had not declared any such holiday on Thursday 4 November 2021.
