GOVT 'Sacks' KEMSA Employees as NYS Set to Take Over Operations
The government has named the National Youth Service (NYS) as one of the entities that will take over operations at the ailing Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) on a caretaker basis.

On the other hand, the government made the news through the agency's head, Mary Chao Mwadime, who advised all non-core workers to take a 30-day leave while the body is restructured.
During this time, KEMSA's activities will be managed by a small team made up of core personnel and other government agencies.

The board claimed that it had performed an audit at the agency and discovered that some of the problems afflicting Kemsa will necessitate further investigation in three important areas.
