Hearing of Sharon Otieno's Murder Case Underway

Today Monday, 12th July marks the beginning of the first hearing of the murder case of Sharon Otieno and her 28 weeks unborn baby, a case involving Migori Governor Zachary Okoth Obado, Michael Oyamo, and Caspal Obiero.

The hearing of the murder case against Migori Governor Okoth Obado & two others officially commences at the Milimani Law Courts, Nairobi.

The murder trial is set to run from today 12th to 25th July 2021.

The prosecution has lined up 35 witnesses in the murder trial.

Governor Obado together with Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero is accused of the murder of former Rongo University student Sharon Otieno and her unborn baby.

Speaking today at Milimani Law Court, Pathologist Johansen Oduor reported that there were seven stab wounds and two slash wounds; muscle bleeding on the left side of the neck muscle detaching it from the attachment on the bone.

Sharon was killed at Owade area in Rachuonyo Sub-county within Homabay county in 2018.
