How Keyboard Warriors Pushed Winnie Odinga Away From Twitter

Winnie, who is Raila Odinga’s lastborn daughter was forced to deactivate her Twitter account after Kenyans on Twitter allegedly flocked to her page to mock her following some claims she had made in October 2021 when Raila met Mount Kenya Youths at The University of Nairobi, that she will be married in 2022 at the lawns of the statehouse, a dream which seemed to have been unachieved.

“Tell them that I said, Winnie Odinga will get married in 2022, on the lawns of State House, And you are all invited, so if you want that to happen, go register to vote,” Winnie said.

However, in Winnie`s last tweet on Twitter, she claim that her account had been hacked. This comes after her involvement in a heated altercation with city lawyer Donald Kipkorir.

"Twitter hacked. Got it back. Everyone can take it easy now," Winnie Odinga tweeted before her account went offline.

The argument began after the fervent Raila supporter encouraged the ODM party leader to quit sobbing for Kenyans in a tweet, claiming that people in Kenya didn't deserve his love and sacrifice.

"Dearest Raila Odinga, tomorrow begins the Presidency of H.E William Ruto. From the depths of my heart, I beseech you stop crying for us. Don’t look out for Kenya anymore. Your love was unrequited. We didn’t deserve your love & sacrifice. Let’s be with our foibles & chains," Kipkorir said.

Winnie Odinga, however, didn't take kindly to the message and immediately instructed the lawyer to "shut up for once."

However retaliating back, the city lawyer claimed that Winnie Odinga is among the people who cost Raila the presidency.

"Since 2005, I supported freely every political journey of Raila Odinga. Today, Kenya begins a new Chapter under President William Ruto. Those that let down Baba like Winnie Odinga & others at Azimio Secretariat now want to troll me. The trolling is misplaced & ill-advised," Kipkorir stated.
