The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has announced openings on its party list for the National Assembly, Senate, and all 47 County Assemblies.

Catherine Mumma, the chairwoman of the party's National Election Board (NEB), announced on Tuesday that "it will collect applications from any party members' qualified for election to the party list" from Tuesday through May 6, 2022.

The application cost for all posts has been set at Sh5,000.

“All aspirants are advised to familiarize themselves with the Constitution of Kenya. 2010 and the laws relating to the elections: the Party’s Constitution and Party Primary Primaries and Nomination Rules, and to ensure that their applications meat all the standards/requirements stipulated in these laws and rules,” Mumma stated in the notice.

The party is attempting to establish a party list of nominees for persons with disabilities, youth, and workers in the National Assembly.

In the Senate, the party is looking for applications to fill positions on a list of nominees that includes 16 women, nominees who represent people with disabilities, and nominees who represent youth.

Nominees representing the gender top-up category for each County Assembly, as well as a list of nominees representing underrepresented groups, are sought in the County Assemblies.

Applicants must provide certified copies of the candidate's academic credentials from appropriate institutions, proof of registration as a life member of the Party, and a self-declaration form (EACC Clearance document) duly commissioned by a commissioner for oaths as prescribed under the Leadership and Integrity Act, 2012 (No. 19 of 2012) – duly stamped by EACC, and a Police Clearance Certificate – Certificate of Good Conduct, among other documents.
