How To Prepare Delicious Kamande (lentils) Stew


1 cup of boiled kamande

2 sliced tomatoes

1 chopped onion

1 diced carrot

Finely chopped coriander leaves

1 teaspoon of crushed ginger and garlic

¼ teaspoon paprika

¼ teaspoon chilli powder(optional)


½ cup of water

3 tablespoons of vegetable oil


Place a pan on medium heat and add the oil and onions, fry them until they are translucent.

Add the ginger and garlic paste to the pan and stir, and fry till the onions get a golden brown colour.

Add the diced carrots, sliced tomatoes and paprika.

Cover the pan and leave to simmer for 2 minutes.

Add the lentils to the pan and mix, then add in the water and cover the pan.

Let it boil for 10 minutes, uncover add the chopped coriander and mix, your lentils are ready.

Serve while hot with some rice, chapatis or any other preferred dish.
