DJ Bash took to Instagram to share his situation, writing lengthy posts about how he had to seek various forms of help from people around him in order to deal with the depression he was experiencing.

DJ Bash revealed that he participated in several measures to combat depression, including counseling, sessions with a therapist, and going to the gym, among others. He was also prescribed antidepressants at one point to help him cope with his condition.

"I went for counseling. I saw a therapist and got to a point I was prescribed anti-depressants. I joined the gym. I was cycling all over, red books, motivational talks on YouTube, Mum taking me for prayers. Name It, I did it all. All this was me trying to fight for my life while entertaining you guys with minimal or zero appreciation," DJ Bash stated.

He also state that at some point he had suicidal thoughts but what kept him away from that was his son. DJ Bash and Gathoni welcomed their son in 2018 but later his baby mama left him for a Mzungu man identified as Jason Brewer.

DJ Bash went viral in August 2022 after he was seen storming into a Nairobi club at midnight demanding payment from the management. Concerning the incident, this led to speculation that the DJ was dealing with difficult personal issues, which caused him to act strangely.

DJ Bash previously admitted that he was failing his son after his baby mama, Gathoni, found a new lover.

He also disclosed that he had no one to share his problem with and he felt safe sharing his situation with his fans through his social media account.

"And I share my life here because honestly, I have no one to talk to! I lean on my fans. That’s all I have. How am I sleeping in a car right now? Surely," DJ Bash narrated.

DJ Bash has now requested his fans to give him some time alone so as to get back to his senses. He has also apologized to all that he wronged previously.

"I am not asking for sympathy from anyone. I know how to deal with my stress. Simply requesting some time to be alone. Will still fulfill all my shows, gigs, and all contractual agreements I have," DJ Bash stated.

"Don't worry. Also would like to apologize to everyone's family, friends, and fans for all the harm I have caused. I admit it. I am the problem, I’ll get help. In return, I am also requesting, let me be alone. Please. I just need a peaceful state of mind, even if it's for a while, not even for me. For Neo," he added.
