In a twitter post responding to the claims, Karua said that the claims against her were not true.

This came after Tharaka Nithi senator Kithure Kindiki hinted at a possibility of Karua attending the UDA’s party NDC that will take place at the  Kasarani Indoor Arena.

We expect leaders from our partner parties to be present as our guests because our party leader has been a guest in some of their events. We expect the leader of the ANC party, Mr Mudavadi, Ford Kenya’s Wetang’ula, and the honorable Martha Karua of Narc Kenya. We expect other guests, but we will not tell you their names right now,” Kindiki said.

Martha Karua has been making headlines after she failed to appear at the Azimio Coalition agreement signing at KICC last staurday. Her move by many was seen as a way of her joining the Ruto led team.

Martha who is a Co-principal in the one Kenya alliance was the only one who did not attend the NDC to sign the Azimio coalition agreement.

UDA will be conducting its National Delegates convention today at the Kasarani Indoor arena where it is expected to unveil its presidential candidate for the August polls.

Deputy President William Ruto is the most likely candidate to be unveiled since he had gone through a panel that cleared him for the presidential flagbearer position awaiting a decision to be made by the national delegates convention today.
